If you have been wondering for a long time why organizing your daily tasks requires more effort from you than from others, if you find it hard to concentrate, finish started tasks, or manage your time — a professional diagnosis can help find answers.

At the Introspection Space, we conduct comprehensive ADHD diagnostics for adults according to current diagnostic standards. We combine a structured clinical interview, standardized psychological tools, and objective attention function assessments to explain the causes of reported difficulties as accurately as possible.

Our goal is not to confirm ADHD at all costs, but to provide a reliable answer to the question of what causes the reported symptoms and what forms of support will be most appropriate.

Why is our diagnosis comprehensive?

Multidimensional clinical assessment

ADHD diagnosis in adults is not based on a single test.

The diagnostic process includes analyzing information from several independent sources:

• a detailed DIVA-5 clinical interview,
• computerized MOXO assessment,
• standardized psychological questionnaires,
• analysis of functioning from childhood to the present,
• clinical observation by a psychologist.

This approach increases diagnostic accuracy and helps reduce the risk of misinterpreting symptoms.

Differential diagnostics

Difficulties with concentration, working memory, organization, or emotional regulation do not always stem from ADHD.

Therefore, during the diagnostic process, we also consider the possibility of co-occurring or other factors affecting daily functioning.

As part of the diagnosis, we conduct standardized screening for:

• depressive symptoms,
• anxiety disorders,
• autism spectrum traits,
• post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms,
• monotropism (a style of information processing often observed in some individuals on the autism spectrum).

Screening questionnaires do not constitute a standalone diagnosis but provide additional information used during the interpretation of the entire diagnostic process.

Readiness for further treatment

Upon completion of the process, you receive a detailed psychological report containing:

• a description of the diagnostic process,
• results of the applied tools,
• clinical analysis,
• diagnostic conclusions,
• individual recommendations for further action.

The document can serve as significant support for the psychiatrist when making decisions regarding further diagnostics and potential treatment.

Who is the diagnosis intended for?

The process can be particularly helpful if:

• you have been struggling with procrastination for many years,
• you have difficulties organizing your time and tasks,
• you are easily distracted,
• you often start many tasks simultaneously but find it hard to finish them,
• you regularly run late or underestimate the time needed to complete tasks,
• you feel a sense of unfulfilled potential,
• you have difficulties regulating emotions or impulsivity,
• you suspect you have ADHD after a diagnosis of a child, partner, or close person,
• you want to verify previous assumptions about ADHD.

Recommended preparation for the diagnosis

To increase diagnostic accuracy, we recommend (if available) providing the results of basic laboratory tests performed within the last 6 months.

Tests are not a prerequisite for starting the diagnosis, but they help rule out selected somatic causes of cognitive difficulties, chronic fatigue, or low mood.

Recommended tests:

• blood morphology with a smear,
• TSH,
• fT3,
• fT4,
• ferritin,
• vitamin B12,
• vitamin D,
• fasting glucose.

Additionally, in men, it is worth checking testosterone levels, as a deficiency may be associated with symptoms such as decreased energy, irritability, worsened concentration, and low mood.

If you do not have current test results, the diagnostic process can be carried out without them. If necessary, the psychologist may recommend a consultation with a physician or further diagnostics.

What does the diagnostic process look like?

The process includes three meetings.

STAGE I

Diagnostic consultation and MOXO assessment

Duration: 50 minutes

Before the first visit, you will receive access to a secure online questionnaire package.

This includes among others:

• ASRS,
• PHQ-9,
• GAD-7,
• AQ,
• PTSD screening questionnaire,
• monotropism questionnaire.

During the first meeting with the psychologist:

• discusses the history of reported difficulties,
• analyzes questionnaire results,
• conducts the MOXO computerized assessment.

MOXO is a standardized tool assessing:

• attention,
• impulsivity,
• reaction time,
• level of activity.

The assessment is not intended for self-diagnosis of ADHD but serves as an important complement to clinical evaluation.

STAGE II

In-depth clinical interview DIVA-5

Duration: 90 minutes

The most important stage of the process.

The psychologist conducts a detailed interview in accordance with the diagnostic criteria for adult ADHD.

Symptoms and their impact on functioning are analyzed:

• in childhood,
• during education,
• in professional life,
• in interpersonal relationships,
• in daily functioning.

Possible co-occurring factors or alternative explanations for reported difficulties are also assessed.

STAGE III

Discussion of results and provision of feedback

Duration: 50 minutes

During the last meeting:

• we discuss all the results,
• explain their significance,
• provide a written psychological opinion,
• answer questions,
• present individual recommendations for further action.

What do you receive after completing the diagnosis?

✔ an answer as to whether the reported difficulties align with the ADHD profile,

✔ a comprehensive psychological opinion,

✔ an interpretation of the MOXO assessment results,

✔ a summary of the DIVA-5 interview,

✔ an analysis of the screening questionnaire results,

✔ identification of any areas requiring further diagnostics,

✔ individual recommendations for psychotherapy, psychiatric consultation, or further diagnostics,

✔ a better understanding of your own functioning.

The price includes all stages of the diagnostic process, analysis of results, and preparation of documentation.

There are no additional fees.

Important information

The process serves to assess the presence of ADHD in adults.

If indications arise during the diagnosis suggesting the need for further psychological, psychiatric, or medical diagnostics, the psychologist will provide appropriate recommendations.
