STANDARDS FOR THE PROTECTION OF MINORS (SPM)

Introspection Space - Therapy and Development Center (Intros sp. z o.o.)

 

Date of introduction: November 17, 2025.

 

Chapter I. General provisions and safe recruitment

  1. The primary principle of all actions taken by the staff of the Center is to act for the benefit of the child and in their best interest.

  2. Before being allowed to work with minors, each staff member (therapists, administration, interns) is subject to mandatory verification in the Register of Sexual Offenders.

  3. Each employee is required to provide a current certificate of no criminal record from the National Criminal Register (Krajowy Rejestr Karny - KRK).

 

Chapter II. Principles of safe staff-minor relationships

  1. Staff treat the child with respect, taking into account their dignity and needs.

  2. Any form of violence (physical, psychological, sexual) and prohibited behaviors (e.g., shaming, yelling) towards minors is strictly prohibited.

  3. Due to the specificity of certain forms of support provided at the Center (including craniosacral therapy, Somatic Experiencing), physical contact with the minor is only permitted with their consent, with prior knowledge of the parent/guardian, and only to the extent necessary to conduct the therapeutic or relaxation process.

  4. Employees maintain professional distance and do not establish private relationships with minor patients (including contacts on social media).

 

Chapter III. Intervention procedures in case of suspected abuse

  1. In case of suspicion that a child is being harmed, the staff member is obliged to react immediately and ensure the child's safety.

  2. The staff member promptly prepares a service note and informs the Director of Clinical and Operational Affairs – Izabela Wiśniewska (contact: tel. 666-667-745/e-mail: kontakt@intros.pl) about the incident.

  3. The Director of Clinical and Operational Affairs verifies the report. In case of reasonable suspicion of a crime against a minor or threat to their welfare, the Director notifies the appropriate authorities (Police, Prosecutor's Office, Family Court) or initiates the "Blue Cards" procedure.

 

Chapter IV. Protection of image and personal data

  1. The personal data of minors is subject to strict protection according to GDPR regulations and the confidentiality of therapists.

  2. Recording the image of minors (photos, video/audio recordings) on the premises of the Center is prohibited without prior, explicit, and written consent from the parent/legal guardian and the child.

 

Chapter V. Online safety

The Center does not provide minor patients with electronic devices with internet access.

 

Chapter VI. Responsible persons and final provisions

  1. The person responsible for receiving reports of incidents threatening minors and for monitoring and updating these Standards is the Director of Clinical and Operational Affairs.

  2. The full text of the Standards is available for inspection at the Center's premises and published on the website.

  3. A shortened, pictorial version of the Standards, understandable for children, is displayed in a visible place in the waiting room.

  4. The document is subject to verification and potential updates at least once every two years.
