FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Questions and Answers. Here you will find clarity. Starting therapy or bodywork is an important step that often raises many questions. We have gathered answers to those we hear most often, to make it easier for you to make a decision and ease your first contact with our Therapy and Development Center in Piaseczno. We clarify not only organizational matters but also the specifics of our work. You will learn what the psychotherapy process looks like, what somatic work with trauma involves, and how to prepare for a visit to the dietitian. If anything remains unclear – we are here for you. Contact us directly, we are happy to help.

I don't know which specialist to choose – where is the best place to start?

It is completely natural that with a wide range of options (psychotherapy, body work, nutrition), you may not know what will be best for you to start with. That’s why we recommend beginning with an initial consultation (psychological or psychotraumatological) . During this meeting, the specialist will listen to your story and help you choose the right path – whether it will be talk therapy (e.g. CBT), body work (Somatics), or perhaps nutritional support. In our Center, we view the person holistically, so we often combine these methods, but you decide the pace and order of actions.

How to join a therapy group (e.g. DDA/DDD) or an MBSR course?

We care about the safety and comfort of all participants, which is why joining therapeutic groups (e.g., DDA) is always preceded by an individual qualifying consultation. This allows us to check if the group format is the best option for you at this moment. For developmental courses such as MBSR, please contact us via email or phone – we conduct a brief preliminary conversation to ensure that the program meets your needs. Registrations are conducted by phone and through our reservation system.

What are the payment methods and the rules for canceling appointments?

Caring for convenience and ecology, at our Center we prefer cashless payments. You can conveniently pay for your visit via a phone transfer, a traditional bank transfer (before the visit), or Booksy Pay. We do not accept cash in the office. We respect the time of our Clients and Specialists, so we ask that you cancel appointments with at least 24 hours' notice – this helps avoid a no-show fee.

How to prepare for your first visit to a dietitian?

To make the first consultation as effective as possible, it is advisable to bring along your recent blood test results (if you have them, e.g., complete blood count, TSH, glucose, insulin) from the last 3–6 months. If possible, also note what you have eaten over the last 3 days (a food diary). However, this is not necessary – the most important thing is an honest conversation about your lifestyle, ailments, and goals. Remember that our approach is non-judgmental – we are looking for solutions, not mistakes.

What is Somatic Experiencing® trauma therapy (bodywork) about?

Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a method that does not focus on analyzing painful histories but on releasing tension that has become stuck in the nervous system due to stress or trauma. During sessions, we learn to read signals from the body and gently regulate the nervous system to regain calm and balance. Important: somatic work does not always involve touch (it often occurs through talking about sensations), and if touch does occur (e.g., in craniosacral therapy), it always happens with your explicit consent and in a sense of safety.

What does the first visit to a psychotherapist look like and how should one prepare for it?

The first meeting is primarily a conversation (consultation) that serves to get to know each other. You don’t need to prepare specifically – just share what led you to seek support and how you are feeling now. The therapist will ask about your expectations and life history to collaboratively establish the goal of therapy. This is your time to see if you feel safe in the relationship with the specialist. At the Introspection Space, we work in an integrative approach, combining conversation with mindfulness of bodily signals.
